SLOW OXIDATION ON COPPER - It takes several weeks for the green reaction to form on the copper pieces using only household products (salt, vinegar, water). Each piece then gets sealed 2 to 3 times to protect the reaction. .

This reaction is an attempt to accelerate the effect of what naturally occurs to copper with time. It took more than 30 years for the Statue of Liberty to turn green.
